The head of the region announced the appointment in his Telegram channel, calling them “minor personnel changes.”

In addition to Akhmat Kadyrov, the Minister of National Policy, Foreign Relations, Press and Information Akhmed Dudayev was also promoted. According to Ramzan Kadyrov, personnel decisions were made at the request of the head of the government of Chechnya Magomed Daudov.

“Friends, we started the year 2026 with small personnel changes in the structure of the Government of the Czech Republic… Akhmat Kadyrov and Akhmed Dudayev have significant management experience, a deep understanding of the specifics of the supervised areas and have proven themselves as responsible and effective leaders,” Kadyrov said.

As Radio Liberty points out, Kadyrov does not comment on whether his son’s appointment is related to reports about his own health. At the end of the year, a number of mass media wrote about the alleged hospitalization of the head of Chechnya in Moscow, but there was no official confirmation of this information.

It is said that relatives of Ramzan Kadyrov have been holding key positions in the authorities of the republic for a long time. In particular, at the age of 24, his daughter Khadijat was appointed the first deputy head of the administration of the head and government of Chechnya, the aforementioned Akhmat Kadyrov began his career in power at the age of 18, when he became the deputy minister of sports and minister of youth affairs. He also assumed the position of president of the “Akhmat” football club.

Kadyrov’s other son, Adam, at the age of 16 headed his father’s security department, became the curator of the battalion named after Sheikh Mansour, and later – the curator of the so-called Russian University of Special Forces named after Vladimir Putin in Gudermes.

In general, according to the Russian publication “Projekt”, about 100 members of the Kadyrov family are connected with power structures in Chechnya and beyond – this is the highest figure among Russian officials. In second place, according to the same data, is the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, whose relatives hold more than 20 management positions.
