“The target of the state is to increase the amount of electric transport and thus reduce emissions. There are many more derivatives from increasing the number of electric vehicles. The national energy strategy involves the creation of the concept of development of electricity stations. This task is assigned to our ministry (Ministry of Restoration – UNIAN). Derkach.
According to him, a number of key issues are now facing the state. First of all, you need to determine how many electric charging stations the country needs, and where they should be located.
In his turn, the head of the Ukrainian electric mobile association “EV-UA”, the owner and CEO of Luaz Motors, which produces electric cars, Vadim Ignatov said that by the end of 2025 the number of electric vehicles in Ukraine could reach 225 thousand units.
“We now have almost 190,000 electric vehicles. That is, we go on schedules, plans and estimates of experts. This is very good, because it shows that the industry is developing planned. And Ukraine goes in the world fairway of electricity development as an industry development leader,” Ignatov said.
The expert also noted that electric vehicles help reduce the fuel dependence on Russian oil, which is still used in the world. Many countries that are fuel suppliers to Ukraine continue to produce it from Russian oil.
“Russia receives crazy money. Every day tens of millions of dollars they get for this oil. Electric vehicles are allowed to reduce the consumption of this fuel,” Ignatov added.
The electric vehicle market in Ukraine is important newsAccording to the State Statistics Service, 42.7 thousand passenger electric vehicles were imported into Ukraine for six months, which is 38% more than a year ago. The vast majority of new electric cars were then brought from China. Japan took second place, and the third is Germany.
