Podolyak noted that many fighters are going to the SZCH due to a shortage of weapons and uncertainty about their timely delivery.
In an interview for Novina.LIVE, he noted that there are many reasons for this phenomenon, in particular, many fighters go to the SZH due to a shortage of weapons and uncertainty about their timely delivery.
In addition, Podolyak noted that the reasons are also problems in management at the middle or higher level, as well as complex social relations, “because it is very difficult to work within the framework of social structures in a combat zone for three years.”
Podolyak noted that in order to improve the situation, it is necessary to introduce material incentives, clear and understandable payments and social guarantees for people, as well as restore the entire infrastructure of law enforcement agencies, in particular, the prosecutor’s office and the police, for the military vertical.
SZCH in UkrainePreviously, an anonymous Ukrainian commander in an interview with Polish mass media reported that the number of deserters in Ukraine sometimes exceeds the number of dead or wounded defenders. According to the commander, only 10% of the military return from the SZH.
People’s deputy of Ukraine, member of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Iryna Friz stated that a significant part of cases of voluntary desertion of units (SZH) is caused by physical and moral abuse in military units.
