In particular, the Almharar channel shared photos in which the German foreign minister is difficult to even recognize because of the “blur”, writes BILD. At the same time, her French colleague Jean-Noel Barro is depicted without retouching next to Syrian politicians.

The Almharar channel is linked to the Free Syrian Army, the largest opposition movement in the country to date, which has taken power into its own hands.

At the same time, the official Syrian news agency Sana distributed the photos without any retouching.

The German publication even added that during the visit, the new ruler of Syria refused to shake hands with the head of the German Foreign Ministry, apparently because she is a woman.
