Umerov added that he met with the head of the country’s Ministry of Defense Bjorn Arild Gram.
“Our delegations discussed important issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular, ways of developing and strengthening the Ukrainian air defense system. This is a critically important area, and we continue to work on strengthening it,” he said.

Another topic of the meeting was the participation of Norwegian instructors in the training of Ukrainian servicemen, Umyerov added.
The press service of the Norwegian Ministry of Defense reported that Umyerov and Gram also plan to speak to the press on November 15. They are expected to make statements and sign an agreement.
In October, Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov, after a meeting with his Norwegian colleague Bjorn Arild Gram, announced Norway’s readiness to allocate more than $118 million for the purchase of weapon systems and spare parts for Ukrainian F-16s.
