Demonstrations began in the capital of Katmanda country on Monday, September 8, after the work of the most popular social networks was limited. And on Tuesday, they spread from the capital to several cities, where people gathered even at night, despite the introduction of a curfew. Social networks reported shooting in several cities. After the restrictions from the platforms were removed, but the protests did not calm down.

According to media reports, police opposed protesters with weapons. As of the morning, 20 dead were reported. And at 14 hours on Tuesday it became known that two more protesters were killed as a result of police shooting in Calimat. Thus, the number of dead during protests in Nepal increased to 22 people.

In these two days, protesters burned down the houses of several politicians, including the House of the Government, the President, the Minister of the Interior and the leader of the largest party in the country, the Nepalese Congress, which is part of the ruling coalition. The Ollie family was in an official residence at that time. The house of the leader of the opposition Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) was set on fire.

They also attacked politicians who were found at home. Among them are the former Prime Minister and President of the Nepalese Congress Sher Bahadur Deub and his wife, Ari Rana Deub, who were injured. The airport in the capital of Katmanda was closed and army helicopters transported some ministers to safe places.

A video was spread on social networks as the Minister of Finance of the Country run down the street. Some of the protests attacked him. The video shows how he fell several times from blows.

It is reported that on Tuesday protesters blocked the road to Parliament. Then they occupied the building and set it on fire.

Against the background of protests, Prime Minister Prasad Oli resigned. Interior Minister Ramshe Lehak has also resigned.

Before his resignation, Ollie stated that he would create an investigative commission that would present a report on the shooting within 15 days. He added that compensation will be paid to the families of the dead and the injured will receive free treatment.
