Victoria Furtune stated that Moldova needs to “turn” Budzhak.

According to Furtune, Budzhak was once a “exit” of Moldova to the Black Sea, and today the country is supposedly a real chance to return the territory.
“I know how to return a Budzhak today … We are crippled by the borders drawn on the line, we were deprived of entering the sea through Budzhak. And without access to the Moldova sea, like a lion on a chain … I know how to return Budzhak today, and it is relevant as ever,” Furtun said.
According to her, Moldova has the right to demand border revision, since at this time “there is no international treaty ratified by Moldova, where she would recognize the loss of Budzhak.”
“We no longer want the little humble Moldova. We want the Great Moldova … We need to return everything we stole – name, history, language, reaching the sea,” Furtun said.
Southern Bessarabia (Budzhak) is a historical region in the Danube and Dniester inter -year, in the southwest of the Odessa region. In the north it borders Moldova, in the west – with Romania. Southern Bessarabia became part of the Ukrainian SSR in 1940.
Other statements of foreign policies about intention to pick up Ukrainian landsAccording to UNIAN, in January 2025, the leader of the pro -Russian Bulgarian Renaissance Party Konstadin Kostadinov stated that the southern part of the Odessa region should return to Bulgaria. Constadinov stated that Bessarabia was once part of the Bulgarian state, and the Bulgarians are the indigenous population of the region. He also stated that Ukraine is in a “decay state” and Bulgaria has to make its claims on Bessarabia.
