The situation in Kyiv – the latest newsFrom midnight on January 29, Kyiv switched to temporary electricity blackout schedules. As reported by the press service of DTEK, there will be a separate schedule for each building, which can be viewed in the chatbot and on the company’s website.
Due to different degrees of damage to energy infrastructure facilities, outages will be uneven across districts. They are in no way tied to the queues that the capital’s residents are used to.
The director of energy programs of the Razumkov Center, Volodymyr Omelchenko, believes that even in the worst case scenario, Kyiv will not be completely without electricity, but the situation with heating can be catastrophic.
