This was stated by journalist Denys Kazanskyi.
“The Ministry of Statistics is trying to bring order in the field of gambling, create transparent rules and remove shady schemes. This was the reason for the attack by Hetmantsev, who has long-standing ties to the gambling business,” Kazansky said.
He recalled that even before entering the parliament, Hetmantsev had a stake in the company “MSL” – one of the largest operators of the lottery market. In 2019, the politician himself admitted that he was in a state of conflict of interest while serving as the head of the tax committee.
“Now this conflict has broken out into the public sphere. It is surprising that the current government, which perceives criticism from the outside rather bluntly, has not reacted to this situation yet,” Kazanskyi concluded.
