According to Reuters, in his first statement, after arrival, Klingbayl stressed that the support of Ukraine from Germany does not weaken, and Russian leader Vladimir Putin should be remembered.
“Putin should not have the illusions that Ukraine’s support from Germany can sway. On the contrary, we remain the second largest supporter of Ukraine in the world and the largest in Europe,” KlingBayl said.
At the same time, he assured that Ukraine can continue to rely on Germany.
“Therefore, a ceasefire is needed. To ensure a strong peace in Ukraine also requires reliable security guarantees. We closely coordinate our actions internationally in this matter. Germany will fulfill its obligations,” – assured KlingBayl.
At the same time, he stressed that “Russia must finally demonstrate a serious interest in the fair world.”
He also added that “the prospects of restoration and prospects of Ukraine’s accession to the EU” are already being discussed.
Ukraine and GermanyEarlier, German Foreign Minister Johann Vadeful told what security guarantees will need after a peace agreement will need. In his opinion, the necessary guarantees should “actually approach what NATO membership means.”
