According to the publication, it will help in the restoration of the Ukrainian economy.

The publication notes that on Tuesday, September 16, Canada Prime Minister Mark Karney in his statement reported that Fryland would hold this new position while remaining a member of Parliament.
Karney added that she has “unique advantages” for this work, taking into account her experience as Minister of Finance, Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
The publication states that Fryland has publicly left the first rows of former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and accelerated his departure from politics. However, she returned to the government under the leadership of Karney.
It is stated that in a separate statement, Frialand shared that she was not going to run in the next election.
“After 12 years in public life, I understand that now is the time to give way to others and look for new challenges for herself,” she said.
The publication, with reference to an official from the Government of Canada, who wished to maintain anonymity, notes that as a special representative in Ukraine, Fryland will directly cooperate with punishment and Ukrainian leaders on the plan of restoration of the country’s economy.
It is added that Freeland will also establish links with Canadian business leaders and trade union leaders, as well as with the Ukrainian community of Canada.
The publication states that Fryland has Ukrainian roots and speaks Ukrainian. It contributed to the decisive support of Ukraine by Canada while in the government.
It is noted that Friland helped to head the initiative of the Ministers of Finance of the Great Seven countries on the use of frozen assets of the Russian Central Bank to support Ukraine.
The publication indicates that this year, Friland lost to Karney struggle for leadership in the Liberal Party of Canada, after Trudeau resigned because former Prime Minister had been distracted by “expensive political tricks” against the background of falling rating.
“I am not going to spend more time with my family, not because the burden of the elected position is too heavy for me. For me, my wonderful husband and children, the public service was a privilege, not the victim,” Friland said.
