According to the Finnish edition of Yle, this statement was made by the Finnie Hyachkiann Defense Minister. He noted that Helsinki focused on the purchase of products under another program.

“We have allocated our resources to an internal industrial program, in which we order products for Ukraine from our companies across Finland,” Hakukyann explained.

According to him, the country has developed a program together with Ukraine so that it provides maximum assistance. And in Finland, it is considered important that this initiative is supported by other states.

“We are still very strongly and vigorously supporting Ukraine, but now we are betting on products of domestic enterprises,” he added.

Hakukyanen also stressed that other countries understand Helsinki’s position, given that Finland borders with Russia. And they want to promote the development of domestic entrepreneurship, because it will not only support Ukraine, but also help to strengthen the country’s defense industry and its defense capability.

Assistance to Ukraine: Other newsPresident Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Sweden, Norway and Denmark have allocated more than $ 500 million to purchase weapons for Ukraine in the United States. The program will be implemented under the coordination of NATO via Prioritized Ukraine Requirement List.
