This was stated by the head of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noel Barro, commenting on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi’s speech in Davos, “Dzerkalo Tyzhnya” writes.
“Today, 100% of financial aid to Ukraine comes from Europe. The main part of intelligence and military support also comes from Europe. At the initiative of France and Great Britain and in cooperation with President Zelensky, unprecedented work was carried out on military planning to ensure the security guarantees of any peace agreement,” said Barro in an interview with Liberation.
The French minister assured that Ukraine can count on the steadfast support of the Europeans, and he knows it. Asked if he heard ingratitude in Zelensky’s speech, Barro said he heard “less gratitude than regret that Europe is not developing fast enough, especially in terms of strengthening its defense capabilities.” According to the minister, he shares this regret.
“I refer to the numerous statements of President Zelensky, who systematically welcomes the very firm and high position of France since the beginning of this war,” Barro added.
