According to the Minister of Digital Technologies of Poland, Warsaw has become a key target for Russian sabotage and cyberattack because of its role in the help of Ukraine.

Gavkovsky noted that the role of Poland as a Center for Assistance to Ukraine has made it a key target for Russian sabotage, cyberattack and misinformation. According to him, Warsaw is in a state of increased readiness for intervention, especially after the presidential elections were abolished in Romania in December.
“During this year’s presidential elections in Poland, we have encountered an unprecedented attempt to interfere with the electoral process on the Russian side. This is done by spreading misinformation in combination with hybrid attacks on Polish critical infrastructure in order to paralyze the normal functioning of the state.
Poland’s digital digital technologies have specified that the attacks have undergone water supply and sewerage, thermal power plants and public authorities. He stressed that the level of Russian activity in terms of cyberratak in Poland has increased more than twice compared to 2024.
“Today, about a dozen incident incidents have been recorded in Poland for every minute of my speech,” Gavkovsky added.
