The Russian threat has changed the opinion of Petro Fiali that major European states should assume the role of leaders.

According to him, it became possible against the backdrop of the threat from Russia and the pressure of US President Donald Trump, which requires increasing military expenditures.
“Now is the time when stronger countries have to play a more significant role, which is France and the United Kingdom, European nuclear states,” Filah emphasized.
The Czech Prime Minister praised Ukraine’s decisive support by British colleague Kira Starmer, and also urged not to punish the United Kingdom for his decision to withdraw from the EU.
“I hope for a stronger and more open cooperation (with Britain – UNIAN), because it is very important for our continent,” he added.
Fiala also commented on the possibility of deployment of peacekeeping forces in Ukraine, which is moving at meetings of the Coalition of those who are headed by France and Britain. According to him, the Czech government will have to approve the departure of the contingent, but the discussion of this issue is premature because the ceasefire agreement has not yet been reached:
“However, we need to be open to any option that will stop any Russian aggression in the future.”
According to the Czech Prime Minister, the threat from the Russian Federation has changed his opinion that major European states should take over the role of leaders that Germany and France previously played.
“In peacetime, I have always been against the strong role of France and Germany, but at such a difficult time it is important that the strongest countries show activity and take on the role of a leader,” he said.
Coalition of those who want and peacekeepers in UkraineAccording to UNIAN, more than 30 countries have joined the Coalition, headed by France and Britain. Many of them have announced their willingness to send peacekeeping forces to Ukraine that will control the ceasefire.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron announced a new summit “Coalitions of those who want” with the participation of President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. He reported that the next meeting was scheduled for March 27.
