There are three other persons involved in the case with Kuvshinov.
This is the ninth arrest of high -ranking Russian officials after Shoig’s resignation from the post of the head of the Ministry of DefenseIn Russia, the court arrested the former chief of the 9th Medical and Diagnostic Center of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Defense Major General Konstantin Kuvshinov. The investigation suspects him of theft of 57 million rubles (about $ 708 thousand), which were allocated for the purchase of medical equipment, writes Roszma.
It is noted that the Russian Defense Ministry of the Russian Defense Military Organization concluded in 2022 a contract with the companies “Delus” and “TDA-Service” for the purchase and delivery of equipment in the amount of more than 100 million rubles. The investigation found that the Deputy Head of the Delrus Sales and the Commercial Director of the TDA-Service entered a criminal conspiracy with Kuvshinov for the purpose of stealing budget funds.
Kuvshinov held the position of Chief of the Medical Diagnostic Center of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation from February 2019 until May 2025. Earlier he was the head of medical and preventive management-the deputy chief of the Main Military Medical Department of the Russian Defense.
There are three other persons involved in the case with Kuvshinov. In particular, in August 2025 in the Russian Federation the court sued under five articles former Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation General Pavel Popov. The case also includes entrepreneur Volodymyr Bogdanov, who has found undeclared weapons.
This arrest has become a ninth case in a series of detentions of high -ranking Russian officials after the resignation of former Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoig.
