France is convinced that China can get involved in the negotiations on war / photos of ua.depositphotos.comChina can influence Russia, in particular, to force Moscow to sit at the negotiation table in Ukraine.
This opinion was expressed by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barro during a visit to Beijing on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between countries, quoted by Le Figaro.
Barro met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Van I. At a joint press conference, the French diplomat noted that Paris and Beijing “should coordinate efforts to promote just and long peace in Ukraine.”
“China also has to play a role in convincing Russia to sit at the negotiation table with serious and bona fide proposals,” Barro said.
