Who is Oleksiy Chernyshov?As you know, Oleksiy Chernyshov was the chairman of the board and CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine. He was also the Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine in 2020-2022 and the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration in 2019-2020.
As UNIAN reported, in August 2024, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the creation of the “Ministry of Ukrainian Unity”. He emphasized the need to strengthen Ukrainian institutional presence in partner countries. At the same time, he added that one of these ways is the creation of a “Ministry of Ukrainian Unity” and countering Russian influence on Ukrainians, primarily abroad.
People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yevgenia Kravchuk said in a comment to journalists that such a ministry will be created by the end of 2024.
Kravchuk said that on September 4 at the “Servant of the People” faction, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the head of this ministry “will actually spend more time abroad.” According to her, it is about the fact that certain offices or branches can be created in the countries where the largest number of Ukrainians live – Poland and Germany.
