The US Ministry of Justice has admitted that Google has violated antitrust law.

Now the case is under discussion, one of the proposals is to separate the Chrome browser from the company. And, as it turned out, Chatgpt creators from Openai have already expressed the desire to buy it.
At the hearing in the case, OpenAi, the head of the Chatgpt Nick Terley, stated that the Chrome was interested if the court really obliges Google to part with the browser. About it reports The Information with reference to Terley’s words in the courtroom.
This statement looks especially interesting against the backdrop of the conflict between the two companies. Earlier, Openai asked Google to provide access to search data to develop their own SEARCHGPT project, but received a refusal.
The Ministry of Justice insists that Chrome is one of the key elements of Google’s monopoly control, as the company promotes its search by default. Therefore, according to regulators, the separation of the browser will help to break this system.
Companies that have violated the lawToday, the European Union has fined Apple and META in the amount of 700 million euros. The reason was the violation of the law on digital markets (DMA) and the illegal suppression of competition by companies.
