The Ministry’s statement states: “The decision on the assignment of academic titles of a professor, associate professor and senior researcher is made by scientific councils. The decisions of the Academic Councils are approved by the MES Attestation Board.”
The department also added that on April 24 this year, at a meeting of the certification board, a generalized decision was made to assign actors to 513 people.
“In this context, the MES Attestation Board does not consider or make individual decisions on each candidate separately, but works with a consolidated list of persons submitted by educational institutions,” the statement said.
Currently, the Ministry of Education and Science does not have any documents that could cancel the decision to assign scientific titles. Therefore, there is no reason to take the title of associate professor from Bilous. Only in the case of criminal prosecution in the ministry can consider depriving the status.
“At the same time, if any candidate arises officially documented circumstances that may influence the possibility of awarding the scientist, the Ministry of Education and Science reserves the right to initiate a service check and, if there are legal grounds, to cancel the appropriate decision.
