Peter Paul believes that a whole set of security guarantees for Ukraine will be needed.

“As for the placement of peacekeeping forces in the territory of Ukraine, we cannot talk about it so far, since there is no peace agreement. It is difficult to say something specifically about the mandate. It will be made by individual states, whom and in how much they will send,” he said.
Pavel added that Ukraine, as a sovereign state, also has to give its consent to the placement of any foreign forces in its territory.
In general, Pavel believes that “a combination of political, economic and military guarantees” can be sufficient for the post -war security of Ukraine.
“We have now talked about the guarantees we can get – either political guarantees or combined. It is not currently discussing what troops will be placed in Ukraine,” he said.
Peacekeepers in Ukraine: The latest newsAs UNIAN wrote, earlier President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that before the war, no one will send peacekeepers to Ukraine, although there are “hot heads” among the “decisive” coalition. According to him, there are two options for placing a peacekeeping contingent in Ukraine – large forces and small forces. The first option will be needed if the US does not dare to give peacekeepers their own guarantees.
Meanwhile, the United Kingdom, who, together with France, was the first to propose the idea of peacekeepers, gave the back and began to look for an excuse why the sending of peacekeepers was no longer possible.
