Sociologists note that 15% of those who believe that peace is getting much closer, and the remaining 30% say that peace is getting only a little closer.
On the contrary, 14% say that peace is becoming more distant (5% say that it is significantly distant, 9% say that it is somewhat distant). The remaining 40% either believe that nothing will change or could not make up their mind.
At the same time, only 7% of respondents are convinced that peace can be completely fair for Ukraine. And only 11% are of the opinion that the peace will be completely unfair for Ukraine.
In general, 23% of Ukrainians believe that under Trump, the peace will be mostly or completely fair for Ukraine. They believe that it will be mostly or completely unfair – 31%. Another 29% believe that there will be both the fulfillment of Ukraine’s demands and Russia’s concessions, and it is difficult to say which will be more. The remaining 18% could not make up their mind.
KMIS also noted that about 80% of Ukrainians believe in the possibility of success in the war in case of proper support from the Western allies, but there is a strong feeling of untimely and insufficient sending of weapons.
On the campaign trail, Trump promised to end the war within 24 hours of taking office, if not sooner.
