Poroshenko’s deputies are already planning winter vacations abroad / photo REUTERSWhile the Ukrainian military is holding back Russian assaults on Donetsk region, people’s deputies from Petro Poroshenko’s party are preparing for winter holidays abroad. This was stated by political expert Valentyn Gladkykh, commenting on the demand of “Eurosolidarity” to cancel the government decree that limits the departure of officials during martial law.
“While the defense forces are holding back the Russian assaults on Pokrovsk, Eurosolidarity deputies are already booking hotels in the Maldives for the holidays and are demanding that the Cabinet of Ministers let them out of the country,” Hladkykh wrote.
According to him, Petro Poroshenko’s “European Solidarity” faction demands permission from the government to travel abroad on vacation under the guise of “business trips.”
“Why does Poroshenko’s deputies and officials end up needing to go on a business trip at the end of the year? According to the experience of past holidays or summer vacations, Poroshenko’s deputies go on vacation under the pretext of business trips,” the expert noted.
Hladkykh reminded that similar situations have already happened – in particular, last year deputies from Eurosolidarity went to the Maldives under the guise of participating in European events. Then photos of politicians with luxurious watches and jewelry with a total value of about 10 million hryvnias appeared in the mass media.
“The same People’s Deputies from the “European Solidarity” in the Verkhovna Rada, under the pretext of business trips at the beginning of summer, went on holiday en masse to the EU countries. The “European Solidarity” faction has its favorite resorts: Nice, Cap Ferrat, Monaco, Italy, Spain. Petro Oleksiyovych himself rests in London with his soul – there he hides his conscripted son-evaders, and with his body – in Spain, in his villa next door to his godfathers, the Svynarchuks, who should all be imprisoned together for robbing a defense factory,” Gladkikh notes.
According to Hladkyh, such behavior of the faction demonstrates complete detachment from the realities of the war and indifference to the situation at the front.
“This shows the real attitude of Poroshenko and his team to the war, to the Armed Forces, to the country. The threat of losing Pokrovsk worries them less than the risk of not being able to warm up on the beaches,” the expert concluded.
As reported, in October, Petro Poroshenko declared more than 55 million hryvnias of income. Most of the financial income for the month is from Orbán’s Hungarian government. Among the sources of the people’s deputy’s income are percentages from capital withdrawn from Ukraine.
