The Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Alexei Sobolev said this during online meetings with journalists.
Thus, he confirmed the rumors that in the competition for the development of the Lithium site “good” in the Kirovograd region, recently announced by the government, the Techmet company, one of the investors in which is Lauder, can take part. According to Sobolev, Techmet representatives said they were very interested in this field.
“DFC is our main partner in the Fund between the States and Ukraine, which is the result of this” mineral agreement “(UNIAN’s Nadra Agreement – UNIAN). And DFC is the largest shareholder of Techmet. Therefore, it is very logical when the company in which DFC is invested in Ukraine,”
In addition, the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak stressed that for Lauder “this project is very important” and that “he is very supported by him, and he would like to invest in Ukraine.”
Americans “put an eye” on the Lithium deposit in UkraineAs reported by UNIAN, earlier the then Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko stated that the commission on the organization of conclusion and execution of products on distribution of products (PSAs) made a decision on the feasibility of announcing the competition for the Lithuanian section “good” in the Kirovograd region, which may become the first project in the framework of the Agreement.
Subsequently, Sviridenko, already as the Prime Minister of Ukraine stated that on August 27, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made an important decision for the development of the mineral sector and attracting investments in Ukraine. It is a competition on the “good” – to conclude an agreement on distribution of products.
According to her, the site contains significant reserves of lithium, which is of strategic importance for energy and technology. The head of the government stressed that the Cabinet is waiting for an investor, which will provide not only production but also the development of production with a value added in Ukraine.
