Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva held a video conference with the newly appointed foreign policy adviser to the Prime Minister of Iceland Andri Lutersson.

Ihor Zhovkva thanked Iceland for the help provided to Ukraine during the full-scale Russian invasion. Separately, he emphasized the importance of the effective implementation of the bilateral security agreement and noted the efforts to create a special tribunal and the international Register of Damages.

“We appreciate Iceland’s significant contribution to the creation of international mechanisms for bringing Russia to justice for crimes in Ukraine,” the deputy head of the President’s Office emphasized.

Ihor Zhovkva and Andriy Lutersson discussed international efforts to implement the Peace Formula and agreed on actions to involve more countries of the Global South.

Cooperation within international initiatives, primarily in the Ukraine-Northern Europe format, was also among the topics of conversation.
