The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi held a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Denmark Troels Lund Poulsen.
The head of state thanked Denmark, the Prime Minister, the government and the parliament of the country for the significant assistance to Ukraine.
“Denmark has respected Ukraine and Ukrainians from the very beginning, and we are very grateful for all your support. We feel it thanks to people, thanks to your attitude towards our people, society, forced migrants. Of course, we feel it on the battlefield, and this is a priority for us,” the President said.
Troels Lund Poulsen emphasized that he came to Kyiv together with parliamentarians from different parties in order to personally see what has been achieved in Ukraine thanks to Denmark’s help, and to understand the needs and possible directions for strengthening support for Ukrainian defense capabilities.
The head of state noted Denmark’s leadership in the delivery of the first F-16 combat aircraft to Ukraine and thanked for the training of Ukrainian pilots and engineering and technical personnel.
During the meeting, they also discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of weapons production to meet the priority needs of the Defense Forces.
