The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, had a telephone conversation with the new President of Switzerland, Karin Keller-Zutter, and congratulated her on taking office.
The head of the Ukrainian state thanked Switzerland for all the political and humanitarian support provided by Switzerland, in particular for the successful organization of the first Peace Summit and participation in the thematic conferences based on its results, as well as for the readiness to work together to find ways to a just and sustainable peace for Ukraine and all of Europe .
Separately, the President of Ukraine noted the annual contributions of Switzerland to the humanitarian program Grain from Ukraine and invited to join the new Ukrainian initiative Food from Ukraine to support the Syrian people and prevent a food crisis in Syria. This is a program within the framework of which our state will supply Syria with agricultural products. The first 500 tons of Ukrainian wheat flour have already left for Syria. Ukraine calls on partners to join this initiative and help restore stability in Syria, which at the same time is a joint contribution to the protection of life around the world.
Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Karin Keller-Zutter agreed to continue the dialogue during a personal meeting, which is scheduled for the near future.
