In Krakow, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with the President of the European Council Anthony.
The Head of State thanked the EU’s decision to continue sanctions against Russia for another half a year.
“We need to press on Putin, and sanctions are one of the really strong tools. I would like to discuss with you how to increase this sanction pressure, ”Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
One of the key topics of the meeting is the expected 16th package of EU sanctions against the Russian Federation. Ukraine hopes for strong decisions that will further limit the ability of the aggressor state to continue the war.
Volodymyr Zelensky and Anthony Right paid special attention to military assistance. The President stressed that the development of the Ukrainian defense industry, especially the production of drones and long -range weapons, is a priority that will strengthen our country’s position to achieve a just and long peace.

Particular attention is the preparation for the convened Anthony with the funds of the informal meeting of EU leaders on February 3. Ukraine is counting on the launch of new strong initiatives on the supply of ammunition.
The Head of State also stressed that it is important for Ukraine that Europe is a full participant in any future negotiations on the restoration of just peace.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelensky noted that our state wants to open several clusters in the EU joining in the first half of this year and is counting on the support of the President of the Euro Council in ensuring unanimity among Member States.
Anthony Rota stressed that a fair and long peace is needed not only in Ukraine but all of Europe.
