UAH 15 billion will be redistributed to the “eRecovery” state program for internally displaced persons. The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this during the meeting of the Congress of local and regional authorities.
“There has already been a decision to allocate 15 billion hryvnias to “eRecovery” for IDPs. This will help, unfortunately, not everyone yet. But this year you can already direct these funds. It will be approximately 10 thousand households, at least 30 thousand people. The government will consider where to get additional funds,” the Head of State said.
Certificates for the purchase of housing will be given to IDPs who lost their housing due to the aggression of the Russian Federation.
Deputy Head of the Office of the President Iryna Vereshchuk noted that housing is the main need of internally displaced persons and veterans. She added that more than UAH 10 billion was allocated in this direction for veteran families this year.
Also during the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba emphasized that the department’s priority is to provide housing to those who need it most. Today, more than 10% of the housing stock has been destroyed or damaged. Almost 2 million families were left without a home, and more than 4.6 million Ukrainians became internally displaced persons.
In addition to the implementation of the “eRecovery” program, next year the Ministry of Development will launch a pilot project for the development of social housing, which at the first stage will be able to provide housing for at least 50,000 people. Ukrainians
