Also, today we discussed some details of our work with the European Union – regarding the negotiation process. There were the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, government officials, and the Office team. This year should be just as effective in the negotiations regarding Ukraine’s accession to the EU as it is necessary for Ukraine, and therefore for the security of our entire Europe. And one more thing.
Spoke with the President of Switzerland. It is important for Ukraine that the relations between our states remain meaningful and aimed at achieving peace more quickly. Ukraine is grateful to Switzerland for our joint organization of the first Peace Summit. And we appreciate that now Switzerland is ready to help both politically and organizationally, and we discussed communication with key partners with the President. We are also preparing a bilateral meeting. And one more component – together we can help stabilize Syria. I suggested that Switzerland contribute to the supply of food to Syria. Ukrainian food and the financial participation of Switzerland – together with our other partners in this humanitarian program – is what can help the people of Syria to establish a normal life after the war and, importantly, after Russia in Syria. Where Russia leaves ruins, we, together with the world, can restore normal life. I am sure it will be the same on our land. We must overcome the occupier. I am grateful to everyone in the world who helps Ukraine.
