In Budapest, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited a school where Ukrainian children study.

This is the first state Ukrainian-Hungarian bilingual secondary school and gymnasium. Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban agreed on its creation during the visit of the head of the Hungarian government to Kyiv this July.

“I want to thank the Hungarian side for fulfilling our agreements. The school is working, and the children are getting an education,” the President emphasized.

The head of state inspected the school and talked with middle and high school students. In addition, the children sang a song that they had prepared for the school week of Ukrainian language and writing.

“Very glad to see you. Well done, you don’t forget Ukraine. You are small Ukrainians, but you will be mature and strong. I am very glad that you remember everything, study it and after the victory you will definitely return to Ukraine,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

The school opened on August 31 of this year. Its financing is fully provided by Hungary. Teaching is conducted in Ukrainian, but the program also covers the study of Hungarian and English languages. Now more than 300 children are learning here and 33 teachers are working here. In total, the school is designed for 700 students.
