Ukraine seeks to establish strong relations with Hungary, which will be based on the principles of equality and mutual respect. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a press conference in Budapest.
The head of the Ukrainian state thanked the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban for the invitation to the fifth summit of the European Political Community. Separately, the President emphasized that Ukraine is interested in friendly and productive relations with Hungary.
“Cleanliness in agreements is important to us. There are questions about minorities. And we have done a lot, there are conclusions of the European Commission – we have no comments on this issue. We respect the Hungarian minority in Ukraine,” Volodymyr Zelenskyi said.
The head of state emphasized that the bilateral agreement between Ukraine and Hungary should include support for our country’s accession to NATO.
“We are ready for anything so that there are no questions between us. A bilateral agreement, a contract, is about respect and whether you see me as an equal,” the President concluded.
