The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, presented certificates for obtaining apartments to Heroes of Ukraine and members of the families of fallen soldiers, who were awarded this title posthumously.
“For almost a year, at least every month, we have been meeting in the Mariinsky Palace to continue the state’s initiative regarding its soldiers. The tradition of special gratitude, respect and attention to the best sons and daughters of Ukraine, the Heroes of Ukraine and the families of our Heroes,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
The head of state handed out 30 certificates for housing: 25 to soldiers and relatives of fallen soldiers of the Ground Forces, Air Force, Navy, Airborne Assault Forces, Special Operations Forces, Territorial Defense Forces, as well as five to representatives of the National Guard and State Emergency Service .
The President emphasized that during the full-scale war, thousands of Ukrainians showed their best virtues, strong will, extraordinary courage and dedication on the battlefield.
“Ukraine will certainly achieve its goal of living in real peace, having its own will and its own state. And our future generations, who will live in such a state, will always know and respect the heroes who saved Ukraine, its independence, and the lives of each of us,” noted Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
The head of state urged never to forget the price of the struggle for freedom. The memory of all defenders who gave their lives for Ukraine was honored with a moment of silence.
