During the visit to Italy, the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska and the First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yulia Svyridenko honored the memory of Ukrainians who died during the Revolution of Dignity.
The priests announced a prayer for the fallen in the Ukrainian church in Rome – in the Cathedral Church of the Holy Martyrs Sergius and Bacchus and the Zhyrovytsia icon of the Holy Mother of God.
“Neither a thousand days of a full-scale Russian attack, nor 10 years of Russian aggression have taken away and will not take away our dignity and freedom. Because that’s who we are. Our essence. Our identity. Our memory, modernity and our future. Today, I lit a candle in honor of the Day of Dignity and Freedom, and most importantly, all those who dedicated their lives so that Ukrainians would have them,” the first lady emphasized.
