In New York, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and discussed the implementation of the Peace Formula and all agreements reached at the first Peace Summit.

The head of state presented Justin Trudeau with the Order of Freedom, and also thanked for military aid packages, humanitarian support, participation in the first Peace Summit and efforts to return Ukrainian children deported by Russia home.

“I am very grateful to you, your government, for being with us during the war and for being with us after the war, after our victory. It is very important that the Canadian people will be together with the Ukrainians in the restoration and reconstruction of our country,” said the President.

During the meeting, Volodymyr Zelenskyi spoke about the situation on the battlefield and the needs of Ukrainian defenders, and also emphasized that it is important to maintain the same level of military aid in Canada’s budget as this year.

One of the main topics of the negotiations is the implementation of the Peace Formula.

In October, Canada will host a thematic conference dedicated to the release of all captured and deported Ukrainians.
