Merry Christmas greetings from the President of Ukraine

For the second time, we celebrate Christmas on the same date as one big family, one country. For the second time in recent history, Christmas unites all Ukrainians. We are side by side today. And we will not get lost. In person or in our minds, we will greet each other, call parents, kiss children, hug relatives, remember our own.”, — write: www.president.gov.ua

This is what light sounds like. That’s what a miracle sounds like. That’s what life sounds like. This is what Christmas sounds like. Our “Schedryk”. Our Leontovych. Our history, which in times of war has a particularly symbolic meaning.

The great Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych lived and worked for several years in the city that today is called Pokrovsk. He taught music to children here, created a choir, and it was there that he wrote the second edition of Shchedryk, which is heard in every corner of the Earth these days. This is how the Ukrainian gave the world the musical spirit of Christmas.

And let every person in the world, hearing him, remember Ukraine. How we fight today for the main symbol of this holiday – for the hope and victory of life. On our land, in every city, in every town, in particular in Pokrovsk.

The divine music written there and the evil that Russia brought there clearly shows the difference between us and them.
We strive to create, and for some, the meaning of life is to sow death. We want peace, we want justice, we want peace.

All we need is to live peacefully on our land, to see the sun, our sky, and in it the Christmas star, not Iranian “shahedis” and Russian missiles. But for some, “dwizhuhi” is boring and not enough. These words are proof of how far they are from God, from Christianity, from real faith. And this is proof why their captivity and darkness progandeat We know that. The world knows it.

And God knows that. And evil progandthere are. Ukrainians believe in this and pray for it. That all that evil and all that dirt would disappear from our land forever. And Ukrainians certainly deserve it.

Dear people!

Today is a very special evening. Christmas Eve

And this is our third Christmas during the war. Our large Ukrainian family cannot celebrate it in full – as we would like, as it should be.

Not all of us are at home, unfortunately. Unfortunately, not everyone has a home. And not all, unfortunately, are with us. However, despite all the troubles that the enemy brought, he did not manage to capture or destroy the main thing – our hearts, the light inside us, faith in goodness and mercy, the person inside each of us.

We have not lost our values, and that is why today we honor all those who gave their lives protecting us. We pray today for all who are at the front to return alive. For all those who are in captivity to return home. For all those whom Russia drove into occupation. Everyone she forced to go. Everyone who is not easy, but they have not lost Ukraine in themselves,
and therefore, Ukraine will never lose them.

And therefore, no matter where we are today, we are definitely together. For the second time, we celebrate Christmas on the same date as one big family, one country. For the second time in recent history, Christmas unites all Ukrainians. We are side by side today. And we will not get lost. In person or in our minds, we will greet each other, call parents, kiss children, hug relatives, remember our own. In person, at a distance or in the soul – Ukrainians are together today. And as long as we do that, evil has no chance. And this our unity and warmth towards each other is the true spirit of Christmas, its unique atmosphere, which we will keep within ourselves and share with those around us. With everyone we love. With everyone who is so dear to us.

And this is every Ukrainian man and every Ukrainian woman today.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas!

Let the light of faith reign in our souls, let the light of hope fill our hearts, and let love and prosperity fill every home. May the Lord protect you, your families, our Ukraine.

Let all the evil that has come into our house disappear with his help. And in his place will be goodness and justice. May there be peace and prosperity.

And for every child to be healthy. I was happy with the gifts. She smiled. Despite everything, I felt this holiday. And let it be the most precious thing – when children’s eyes shine with happiness.

That’s what we’re fighting for.

Exactly what we pray for.

Exactly what we deserve.

Happy holiday, dear Ukrainians, dear Ukrainian women!

Christ was born!
Let’s praise him!
