President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi held a meeting with the State Secretary of the Holy See Cardinal Pietro Parolin and the Secretary for Relations between States and International Organizations Archbishop Paul Gallagher in the Vatican.
The President and the Secretary of State of the Holy See discussed the implementation of the Peace Formula, in particular the clause on the return of deported children and the release of civilian hostages and prisoners of war. Special attention was paid to the preparation of the conference based on this point, which will be held on October 30-31 in Canada.
Other topics of conversation included the results of Cardinal Pietro Parolin’s recent visit to Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope that this will contribute to the unification of international efforts in the process of restoring the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state.
