In Davos, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, met with top managers and owners of large American and European companies, as well as with the Prime Minister of Belgium, Alexandre De Croix, and the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Jean-Noel Barrot. The meeting took place within the framework of the panel meeting of the World Economic Forum “Executives of big business – Ukraine”.
The head of state talked about the situation at the front and the results of the Kursk operation. He emphasized that it is important to continue the pressure on Russia and strengthen sanctions against the aggressor state. After all, this is the only way to force the Russian Federation to establish peace.
“It should be a just peace, not just peace for peace’s sake. And we must also understand what will happen tomorrow. And that’s the problem. Because we do not trust Putin and will not trust him even after the end of the war. Therefore, it is very important to preserve unity between the United States of America and Europe,” the President said.
During the meeting, all possible ways of supporting Ukraine and Ukrainians in the fight against Russian aggression, ways of assistance and investments were discussed. Separately, Volodymyr Zelenskyi spoke about the achievements of the Ukrainian defense industry.
“We implemented a lot of correct technological solutions. These are drones, electronic warfare systems. Millions of drones, kamikaze drones, reconnaissance drones were produced in Ukraine. We are already using drones in logistics in war – we use drones to deliver water, food, medicine. There are many progressive things that civilization will be able to use in peacetime,” the President noted.
In particular, they discussed cooperation with the agricultural sector, investments in Ukrainian education, energy and economy.
The participants of the meeting assured that they will continue to invest in Ukraine in order to create new jobs and contribute to the recovery of the economy after the end of the war.
