Dear Ukrainians, Ukrainian women!
Today in Zaporizhzhia there were many injured and traumatized by a Russian missile strike – 52 people, including rescue workers – there was a second strike when the work had already begun. One person, unfortunately, died – my condolences. And each air defense system, each anti-missile is a life saver, and it is very important that partners feel how much it really helps when our air defense is strengthened and when the military can report to society about effective downs, not about hits. And I want to thank now all our rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, each and every one who helps people after the strikes: your work really supports our entire country. Today, I especially want to recognize the rescuers from the Zaporizhzhia region: Andriy Eikhvald, Oleksiy Kovalenko, Kostyantyn Kostenko, Oleksiy Pereverzev – thank you! Also employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine from the Kherson region: Viktor Fisunenko, Artem Ozerchuk, Bohdan Kolisnichenko – thank you very much! Donetsk region: Vladyslav Karpenko, Oleksiy Gaevskyi, Mykhailo Horpinenko, Oleksandr Kobylyatskyi, Ilya Bulkhov – thank you, guys, and thank you to all your colleagues!
Prime Minister Denys Shmygal gave a speech today. Energy – the situation in the industry and the work of our energy companies. I am grateful to all the repair crews, all the engineers, all the workers of our energy industry. The head of the government reported on the “eSupport” program: the program is being implemented very positively, there is a great demand from our people, there are more than 12 million applications and most of them are already funded. The timeliness of the program is obvious. We will also work on other state programs – now it is very important to support as many Ukrainian families as possible, as many of our citizens as possible.
And one more thing.
We are coordinating our international work, today there were relevant meetings, and above all regarding the United States of America and our European partners. Peace is possible thanks to strength, we are absolutely sure of that. The main thing is not to lose momentum and put pressure on Russia, the only entity that wants this war, that is guilty of this war. It is Russia that is trying to prolong the aggression and occupation. Of course, energy resources and specifically oil is one of the most important keys to peace, to real security. And Europe needs to work more precisely with America and other partners in the world, and not with Russia regarding energy resources. We are preparing our diplomacy, our international communication, to guarantee a strong position not only for Ukraine, but also for all of our Europe. I thank everyone who helps us! I thank everyone who fights for Ukraine: Donetsk region, Kharkiv region, South and Kursk region – wherever it is necessary for the interests and independence of our state.
