In Brussels, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi held a meeting with the President of the European Council Antonio Kosta, during which they discussed the strengthening of Ukraine.
The head of state noted that the first priority of Ukraine is the protection of the energy infrastructure.
“I mean, of course, safety at nuclear power plants. This is very dangerous not only for Ukraine, but also for the whole of Europe, if something goes wrong. In addition, the preservation of gas storages. It is also important for Ukraine and other Europeans,” Volodymyr Zelenskyi said.
Another key topic of discussion is the increase in domestic defense production. According to the President of Ukraine, it really helps and there are already concrete results on the battlefield.
The leaders also focused on protecting Ukrainian children and building shelters in schools and kindergartens.

“Now we are in a state of war, in the future – in a state of peace. And we want to welcome you here one day as a member of the European Union. And we will work with you for this and for the achievement of a comprehensive, just and lasting peace,” the President of the European Council emphasized.
