Dear Ukrainians, Ukrainian women!
Briefly about this day.
Restoration work after the Russian attack is still ongoing. More than 90 missiles, almost 100 attack drones. The goal is energy, ordinary civilian objects. There were many crashes, good work of our EW, but, unfortunately, there were also hits. There were “calibres” with cluster warheads, and this is a particularly dangerous Russian weapon against civilians, which made the work of our rescuers and our repair crews much more difficult. But despite all the risks, our people work all day and gradually restore electricity where there were blackouts. I am grateful to everyone who has been at work since morning and will continue around the clock to restore basic normalcy to people’s lives.
Today, Minister of Energy of Ukraine Galushchenko gave a report on the pace of recovery. There is also the Dutch decision on additional launchers for the Patriots, and it is timely. Thank you! There is a very important decision by Norway to increase support for Ukraine next year. The government of Norway and the parliament have reached an agreement on the minimum level of funding for assistance to Ukraine – it is 3.2 billion dollars. It is on such days, when there are massive Russian strikes, that it is important to feel that our partners are with us side by side.
And today in Kazakhstan, Putin again advertised his missiles – his readiness to kill and destroy. Putin obviously wants to add thousands more to the thousands of missiles that have already hit Ukraine. He does not need the end of this war. In addition, Putin wants to prevent others from ending this war. He can wave his “nutcracker” now only in order to frustrate the efforts of President Trump, which will definitely take place after the inauguration. Putin wants to escalate the situation now so that President Trump cannot succeed, so that he cannot end the war. Putin is the only culprit of this war and the only one who believes in the war. That is why Putin’s escalation now is a pressure to later force the President of America to agree to Russia’s terms. We understand all the threats that exist.
Today I had a report from the head of the GUR Budanov regarding the intentions of missile strikes in Russia. Yesterday I explained the situation in a conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. Today I spoke with British Prime Minister Starmer. The schedule for tomorrow includes a conversation with German Chancellor Scholz. We must react together to Russia’s attempt to make the situation more intolerable and to prolong this war. We are interested in peace. We and all our partners. Now we need to strengthen our positions – the positions of Ukraine, the positions of our partners. Any Russian blackmail should be dealt with harshly. As Putin deserves it. And one must see the prospect – the prospect of ending the war with real peace together with America, together with Europe, together with all partners. We need real peace – peace through strength, not this set of disasters, where one dictator in Moscow has been imposing his terms with his missiles on every new leader for 25 years.
And one more thing.
To all our people: When there are air raids and missile threats, you must take cover. This is a firm rule – a rule that does not depend on certain statements from Russia. Now there may be even more Russian attempts to sow fear and despair in Ukraine. We all need resilience to get through it all. And unity is needed – with all partners. Putin is now doing what he always does: intimidates, divides, tries to break or shake everyone individually; he can’t do anything else. He lostthere arewhen left alone. And he must lose now. In everything. And it will be safe for everyone.
I thank everyone who helps!
Glory to Ukraine!
