In Davos, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak together with the former Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg took part in a discussion devoted to the implementation of the Victory Plan and the Peace Formula of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and the creation of conditions for a just end to the war.
“The victory plan is a very important and concrete document about what our partners should do so that Ukraine has a strong position for any potential negotiations. Ukraine is a victim of aggression. We have been fighting for almost three years against a country that is bigger than us, has more people, weapons and is a nuclear power,” said the head of the Office of the Head of State.
Andriy Yermak said that the finalization of the document is being completed, which will detail the implementation of each of the ten points of the Peace Formula. Work on it continued for several months after the first Peace Summit.
According to him, all these developments are the basis for consultations with the administration of US President Donald Trump and other partners in order to take concrete steps to strengthen Ukraine’s position and end the war by achieving a just peace.
“A just peace is not a frozen conflict. These are security guarantees that will prevent further aggression. If the world does not ensure this, the only means of protection will be nuclear weapons, which we strive to avoid,” the head of the President’s Office emphasized.
Jens Stoltenberg noted that, although Russia is trying to gain temporary success on the battlefield, it is paying a huge price for it. Therefore, it is necessary not to reduce the pressure on the aggressor.
“We cannot allow Russia to impose its conditions. Security guarantees, in particular Article 5 of the NATO Treaty, and the further strengthening of Ukraine’s defense potential are the key to ending the war on the terms of a just peace,” the former Secretary General of the Alliance emphasized.
