– I’m shocked myself. The first minutes were intelligence, the teams wanted to understand who was worth. We did not play the result. But the Dutch more wanted to achieve a positive result. On our part, everything was somehow timid … I expected that from the first minutes of blue and yellow would be radiated at least some aggression, but it was not close.
– Did we give the ball without a fight?
– Yes. We did not turn out the concept. And Ukraine has practically not created goal moments throughout the game. The Netherlands studied us better than we are a rival. They covered the vanata tightly. You can also talk about individual mistakes. I did not know the fatigue or some other moments, I do not know. The pace of the Dutch was medium but good on their part. The opponent gradually pushed the situation at our gates and achieved his own.
Where the ball was, the Dutch was faster. They at least visually were better in picks, in stilers, selections. The opponent skillfully used free zones when we had high defense in the second half. The only plus in all this situation that in such a difficult time for the country, we go into the final part of the euro. This indicates that the trainers work on the ground, prepare players. But before the tournament, everyone and I in particular were waiting for this team much more. Many players have gone through my hands, I know their capabilities, but I didn’t see the maximum. We may be pulling somewhere in the best national teams in Europe, but their football is running further in terms of training, the professional attitude of each football player to the business.
– Who can you stand out from the Ukrainians in the tournament?
– According to the first game, I would celebrate the reed, the second – Brazhka, Vanata, Batagova and Bragar, and in the third, as I said, only Bragar. And where is the rest? We only see a picture, but what was inside the team is unknown. How many flank gears were given by Shepharenko and Krupsky. Yes, they were, but when the Netherlands scored two goals and started playing the account, and it was a crucial match for us.
– According to the five -point system, how will you appreciate the performance of the national team of Ukraine on the euro?
– What did we achieve? They beat Finland and lost the rest, not in the best quality of the game. I do not know, probably on a thrill. I was convinced that this national team would get out of the group, but there was disappointment left of the performance.
