Lionel Messi asked who he considers to be the best football player in the world, if not himself.
The Argentine, who is already 38 years old, admitted that it is difficult to choose, because “there are many strong players”.
Messi named Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Eden Hazard, Luis Suarez and Sergio Aguero, adding that “any one of them could be the best”.
Fans noticed that Cristiano Ronaldo was not on the list, and journalists reminded about it.
Messi replied simply: “Cristiano? I left him off the list because he’s on the same level as me.”
