The head of the UAF control and disciplinary committee, Oksana Zalizko, explained why it was decided to disqualify Polissia coach Ruslan Rotan, as well as to fine him 200,000 hryvnias for insulting the referee.
“This punishment is a signal to other coaches about the inadmissibility of foul language, aggressive behavior and insults towards match officials.”
“For 2025, we already had 25 similar cases. This is too much in our opinion and means that the level of punishment received by violators did not motivate the community to be more responsible and attentive to their own behavior during and after the matches, said Zalizko.
Rotan was suspended for 5 matches, but two of them were suspended with a probationary period.
