Shakhtar Donetsk student Viktor Kovalenko has been in the status of a free agent for quite some time. Ukrainian journalist Mykhailo Spivakovsky told what offers the football player rejected and said that Viktor wants to play in Italy.
“Viktor is very picky about proposals. He refused both in Turkey and a couple of clubs in Europe. There are offers, the priority is still Series A, not Series C.
He is no longer a legionnaire in Italy, not a player of “non-eu” status and, of course, he would like to stay there. But theoretically, this could be the second European championship, preferably not Turkey,” said Spivakovsky.
Kovalenko’s last club was Empoli. In the last Serie A season, the Ukrainian played 17 matches in which he scored one goal and provided an assist.
