The Catalan Club plans to play European Cup matches at Camp Nou stadium, but does not have time to carry out all the repair work in the arena before the first round.
The Spanish team appealed to UEFA to get permission to play one Champions League match at the other Monjiik stadium. The organization went towards Barcelona, but put an ultimatum.
Spain champions are required to conduct a second round match against the French PSG on Camp Nou. If Blauhranas does not have time to complete the repair work by October 1 (before the match with PSG), the team will have to spend the whole season of European Cups in the temporary stage of “Montzhuik”.
In the first round of the Champions League, Hans Flik’s wards will play against the English Newcastle.
