The Liverpool legend blasted Salah for his behavior and statements about the club

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher criticized Merseyside striker Mohamed Salah for his recent comments about the club.

Today it became known that the Egyptian winger was not included in the team’s application for the match against “Inter” in the 6th round of the group stage of the Champions League. Salah previously expressed his displeasure with the way he was treated after being left out of the starting line-up three times in a row.

“I think it’s a shame. Some explain his reaction as emotional, but I disagree. If Salah stops in the mixed zone – and he has only done so a handful of times in eight years – it means he and his agent have premeditated a move to do as much damage as possible to the club and strengthen their own position.

He did the same thing a year ago, and I also criticized him then. He played on the feelings of Liverpool fans. The team were leading the league, he scored Southampton’s winning goal – the perfect moment to put pressure on the management to “give Mo his money” until the end of the season.

And this time he also chose this weekend, expecting a bad result. The team conceded at the end, the players, fans and coach were dejected. It was then that he decided to speak out against coach Arne Slot, perhaps hoping to influence even his future at the club. That’s how I perceive it.

The phrase that caught my eye the most was “I’m being thrown under the bus.” Although he’s tried to put the club in that situation twice himself in the last twelve months,” Carragher said on Sky Sports.
