The Hungarian team, consisting only of Ukrainians, reached the 4th round of the Cup

Hungarian club “Torpo” competes at the regional championship level and participates in the Hungarian National Football Cup. It is interesting that the team consists of one hundred percent ethnic Ukrainian football players. True, some of them have already managed to obtain Hungarian citizenship.

The team is also coached by Ukrainian specialist Ivan Bubys, who before working in Hungary worked with the Strysk “Skala”. The coach of the goalkeepers in the club is the well-known Transcarpathian football player Vladimir Vasyutyk.

The ex-goalkeeper of Uzhhorod “Hoverly” Mikhail Gotra and the former linebacker of Lviv “Rukh” Maksym Shved (brother of the famous Ukrainian player Maryan Shved) play in the team.

At the professional level, FC “Torpo” plays in the Hungarian National Cup and at the stage of the 1/16 finals it will meet with the “Ivancha” team, which plays in the III League of Hungary.

In the first round, the Hungarian club beat the team “Nadyeced” (0:0 on penalties 5:4). In the 1/64 final FC “Torpo” defeated “MTK” from the city of Matesalka 2:1, and in the 1/32 they dealt with the club “Gatra” (5:0).
