The final round of the Champions League: Mourinho revealed the plan for the game against Real

Benfica coach Jose Mourinho shared his expectations for the upcoming meeting with Real Madrid in the final round of the Champions League. At the moment, the Lisbon club is on the 29th line of the overall standings, which does not yet allow the team to qualify for the playoffs.

When asked how he sees the upcoming confrontation with the “Blancos”, Mourinho answered the following:

“Making forecasts is a thankless task. Despite the many theories and endless debates about football, one thing that remains constant and truly fascinating is the absolute unpredictability of the game itself.

The scenario of the match cannot be predicted one hundred percent. You can study the opponent in detail, improve the actions of your wards and build a tactical plan, but the factor of randomness always plays a huge role.

Taking into account the specifics of football, our task is to prepare the team as efficiently as possible. We are obliged to enter the field with respect for the strength of the opponent, but at the same time we are clearly aware of our own capabilities and pursue a specific goal.

Nico Otamendi has already been asked about schedules in parallel meetings… But we should not look to others. Without our own victory, no extraneous results will help us move forward.

Only if we score three points, it will be possible to analyze whether other circumstances were in our favor. We have one task – to give our all for the sake of victory, perfectly understanding who exactly is against us,” Mourinho emphasized.
